VIOLET SMITH

Violet Smith is a Los Angeles based Lighting Designer originally from North Chicago, Illinois.

 

Her practice focuses on living a creative life. She believes lighting design is watercolor painting in a 3D space. While Lighting Design leads the way for this creativity, she works to cultivate a space where her artistry can move beyond the stage and into her everyday life. She enjoys cooking, mixed media art, and is looking forward to her next cup of coffee.

Violet Smith holds a B.A in Lighting Design from Ball State University and her M.F.A in Lighting Design from The California Institute of the Arts.
